A bowed percussion instrument made of a half coconut shell, a stalk of wood, three steel wires and a bow made of- I could not guess what.... The musician was a 12-13 year old boy with deep,but volatile eyes...
He starts playing very famous Kannada track-Aadisi nodu..,then a Hindi song and another for around 15 minutes in a very crowded bus on the Hebbal ring road...This is my second encounter with him,although I've travelled only few times on that route...He seems immersed in some deep thoughts,playing his music mechanically but perfectly...His eyes are wandering from point to point in a fast moving bus...
I wonder what his future would be-Would he continue playing it for very little money he gets in these buses, or would he give this up and take up something else ,or become a professional musician!!! I feel, he could be any of these or anything apart from this depending on his will power and perseverance....
